We are proud to have taken steps to comply with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, which went into effect May 25, 2018.
At RippleNami, we have always honored our users’ right to data privacy and protection. We have never relied on advertising as a revenue stream. We have never served ads to our users, and never will. This means that we have no necessity to collect and process users’ personal information beyond what is required for the functioning of our products. We consider security of our clients’ data as one of our top priorities.
- For our EU-based clients, RippleNami does all our data processing in EU-based cloud centres in England. RippleNami guarantees that there is no cross-border data transfer and that all data is safely handled within the EU.
- RippleNami employs the Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure and we rely on Amazon for multiple aspects of GDPR compliance, such as physical data centre security, secure infrastructure management, and others. AWS meets the compliance standards of ISO 27001, 27017, and 27018 and all AWS Services are GDPR ready: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/security/all-aws-services-gdpr-ready/
- In terms of software security, RippleNami applies all internal security validation processes to make sure RippleNami meets the required data security at any given time.
- RippleNami already has all necessary procedures in place for both enabling data owners to exercise their rights under GDPR and, if it should occur, to promptly report any detected breach to the established EU authorities.
As data privacy and personal data concerns continue to increase on a global level, RippleNami is committed to maintaining and exceeding standards, in keeping with our mission to provide the highest level of security available to customers.
