How to Create a Map Layer

Overview

A Map Layer is the element that holds the mapping geospatial data; it is the mechanism used to display information on the map.

There are several options for creating Map Layers to display your organizational data in rWAVES, so you can visualize what matters to you most. The format of your data will determine which option is best for you.

rWAVES can upload data in the following file formats for display on My Map:

  1. CSV file that includes physical address information.
  2. CSV file that includes latitude and longitude coordinates (Decimal Degree format).
  3. A KML or KMZ file.
