1. Driving directions can be obtained both on the map, and in text format by clicking on the Directions button on the Search Layers Tool Bar. 

2. Enter the start and end locations and click enter.  Once you start typing, the Google Maps plug-in will start to auto-complete your address.  Select the appropriate ones from the drop-down list.  The map will zoom to the highlighted route.  Clicking on the diagonal arrows button will expand the text of the driving directions.
